Description

DIY Stretcher bars 2x 90x90cm, 38mm

Very neatly crafted strips, the ends of which are provided with tongue and groove and can be easily plugged together to form a sturdy frame.

Whether cotton, linen or jute, in principle, all fabrics and even photo prints can be stretched on the stretcher bars. All strips have the same plug-in connection and can thus also be combined with other sets.

  • Material: spruce
  • incl. hardwood wedges (2 pieces per moulding)
  • with ledge cross

Assembly:

The stretcher bars are plugged into each other at right angles using tongue and groove in the bars. The back cross is put together and connected with stapler, screw or glue. Now the cross is also connected to the frame and the stretcher can be covered. A collet is helpful for this. The canvas is fixed to the wood from behind with a stapler and the strips are wedged together with the help of the tensioning wedges for tensioning.

TIP: If the canvas is not quite drum-hard after stretching, simply spray the untreated back with a little water - cotton will then contract a little!
