DIY stretcher bars 2x 90x140cm, 38mm

Stretcher frames made of carefully seasoned and selected spruce wood in ten dimensions and in an inexpensive set of 2. All stretcher frames are equipped with crossbars, the hardwood wedges necessary for wedging (2 pieces per bar) are included in the price. Very neatly crafted mouldings, the ends of which are tongue and groove and can be slotted together to form a sturdy frame.

The slats only need to be inserted into each other. The most important thing is to pay attention to squareness, so that everything is also straight and finally come for a stable connection and optimal tension wedges in the corners.

Whether cotton, linen or jute, in principle, all fabrics and even photo prints can be stretched on the stretcher frames.

Assembly:

The stretcher bars are inserted into each other at right angles using tongue and groove in the bars. The back cross is put together and connected with stapler, screw or glue. Now the cross is also connected to the frame and the stretcher can be covered. A collet is helpful for this. The canvas is fixed to the wood from behind with a stapler and the strips are wedged together with the help of the tensioning wedges for tensioning.
