Wood painting ground round

We have rediscovered an old tradition for you: already in ancient times wood was used as a painting ground, but since the invention of stretcher frames in the 16th century it was used less frequently. Today, more and more artists and mall lovers appreciate these special painting grounds.

QUALITY: The rigid plywood panels (about 4mm) are very smooth and do not give when painting. The 18mm thick frame is made of sturdy MDF, warp-free and dimensionally stable. Thus, the wooden painting grounds offer a good alternative to the normal canvas-covered stretcher frame. In order to create a durable and color-intensive picture on wood, the wooden painting base must be primed in any case. For priming, we recommend a multi-layer application with gesso or primer white.

The round wooden painting grounds are available in diameters of 30, 40, 50, 60, 75 and 100 cm. The depth of the wooden painting grounds is about 22mm.
